Plastic Bags Recycling








The latest plastic bag ban newsletter has just been released and showcases The Ugly Duck Out restaurant and takeaway in Swansea, a great example of a business avoiding plastic bags. For almost a decade, the business has steered clear of all conventional plastics where possible, using instead a range of other packaging options. These include sugar cane, bamboo and cardboard boxes, paper bags and biodegradable bags and beverage cups. read more


The newsletter also includes advice for retailers who will have excess plastic bag stocks on 1 November and an article on plastic bag recycling. Although they cannot go in your kerbside recycling bin, most plastic bags are recyclable, including conventional, biodegradable and degradable plastic bags. Even worn ‘green’ bags are recyclable.
