AuSSI-Tas will issue Expression of Interest to enter the awards program in mid-August. Entries will be on-line and shortlisted by a committee of the partners during September.
Onsite visits to the shortlisted schools will take place from 26 September to 14 October where Students and Staff can demonstrate their progress to the judging panel.
Awards presentations for Southern region winners will take place at UTAS on 15/16 November, Northern and North Western region winners at Camp Banksia, Port Sorell on 18 November.
For each of the three regions a secondary and a primary school will each receive a cash prize of $1500 plus certificates, sustainability journals, a “Litter Less’ teacher resource and a $250 order on Replas for their recycled plastic products (see www.replas.com.au for product details)
